What does an AI agent do inside a consultancy?
A consultancy sells expertise, so every hour spent on admin is an hour not spent on client work. The admin is familiar: proposals written from a blank page, notes typed up after each client meeting, follow-ups that wait until Friday, invoices that go out late, and a partner or board report pulled together the night before.
An AI agent takes that work on. Seby's agent reads everything you connect, always read-only, and keeps a living memory of the firm: every client, every deal, every meeting. You ask it in Teams, in Slack or in the command centre, and it answers with the source. These are questions from our sample install:
- Which proposals are overdue a follow-up?
- Who owes us money, and what have we sent?
- What is our utilisation this month, by team?
- Draft the Halden retainer renewal note.
It drafts emails, board notes and options papers for your review, and sends nothing externally until a named person approves it.
Which consulting jobs does Seby take first?
Most owners start with the Proposal engine. It is the job most owners hand over first: the thing you spend hours on, done in minutes. Each engine runs one slice of the back office on the same brain, and you add the next when you feel the first one work.
Proposal engine
Proposals from a brief
A brief goes in, the research gets done, a branded proposal or deck comes out, with e-signature built in.
Meetings engine
Client meetings, debriefed
Every meeting recorded, classified and debriefed by morning, with the actions pulled out and assigned.
Comms engine
Follow-ups that go out on time
Inbox triaged, replies drafted in your voice, follow-ups written from your meetings. Nothing sends without your say-so.
Customer engine
Every client on record
Every lead and customer captured and kept fresh on its own: intelligence files, contact history, email lists.
Billing engine
Invoices the moment it is signed
The invoice goes out the moment a deal is signed, the payment link is sent, and it chases until you're paid.
Reporting engine
Board packs that write themselves
Board packs, leadership briefs and dashboards written before the meeting. You never start from a blank page.
The Front Office plan runs the whole sales trail end to end: the Customer engine captures the lead, the Proposal engine writes the proposal, the Billing engine invoices the moment it is signed and chases until you are paid, and the Comms engine drafts the follow-ups in your voice. See every engine.
Can I see it running on a consultancy first?
Yes. Marlow & Hale is a fictional Sydney consultancy we built to show the product, with fourteen made-up people and twelve made-up clients. Everything else is the real system. Open its command centre or read its board pack, no sign-in.

Will it fit how our firm works?
It is built to learn how you work, not the other way round. The install starts with two weeks inside your inbox, meetings and systems, mapping where the week actually goes. The engines are then built against your real work. Every draft comes to you first, you approve the first sends, and the brain learns your voice from what you change.

How is client confidentiality handled?
Consultancies hold sensitive client material, so this matters. Your brain runs on a machine dedicated to you, in your region, with its own memory and its own credentials. Your data is never used to train any model, and it is never pooled with another customer. The memory is plain files and a small database, so if you ever stopped, you keep everything and it still makes sense. The full detail is on the trust page.
How long does it take, and what does it cost?
Twelve weeks to running, six months to handover. Weeks 1 to 2 are the audit and plan, weeks 3 to 12 the build and install, and in months 4 to 6 we run it alongside your team until your own operator is trained. A single engine can be running in weeks. See how it works.
Every plan includes the Brain. Priced in USD, billed monthly. No lock-in. See pricing, Seby Billing for invoicing, and our guide on what AI back office automation costs.
Questions consultancy owners ask
What is an AI agent for a consulting firm?
It is software that works inside your firm's email, meetings and files and does the admin around client work: proposals, meeting write-ups, follow-ups, invoices and reports. Seby's agent answers questions in Teams, Slack or the command centre, with the source, and drafts the work for a person to approve.
Do we have to change the tools we already use?
No. Seby runs on top of your stack, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Xero, HubSpot and Salesforce, without replacing any of it. Specialist tools are connected as custom integrations, scoped and quoted per tool.
Can it write proposals the way our firm writes them?
Yes. A brief goes in, the research gets done, and a branded proposal or deck comes out with e-signature built in. Every draft comes to you first, and the brain learns your voice from what you change.
Is our client data used to train AI models?
No. Your data is never used to train any model and is never pooled with another customer. Each business runs on its own isolated machine with its own memory and its own credentials.
How long until it is running?
A single engine can be running in weeks. The full operating system is deployed inside your firm in 12 weeks, with handover to your own trained operator by month six.
What does it cost?
Plans start from US$1,999/mo for a single engine, with the Brain included. Front Office, the full sales trail, starts from US$2,999/mo. Priced in USD, billed monthly.
